It is widely seen that without education, people nowadayswould not
reach such high living standards. This most important factor has strongly
influenced global developments recently; people could be provided with both a
wide range of knowledge and moral education. Therefore, I am convinced by the
statement: Education is the single most important factor in the development of
a developing country.
First and foremost, without knowledge, the human race would no longer survive.
For instance, people will know how to avoid contracting serious diseases if
they have good knowledge about (and awareness of) its danger. The environment, from
the perspective of scientists, is such a complicated entity that it is hard for
them to predict imminent storms, volcano eruptions, or earthquakes if they do
not have sufficient knowledge about these realms. Moreover, people surely need
to widen their knowledge in other fields such as math, physics, chemistry and
learn to apply it in real life; so that they can think of many
more innovative methods to make their country develop rapidly. Therefore, a wide
range of knowledge is a prerequisite to help their country develop and only with
education can they fulfill this task.
What is more, along with the global developments, it is compulsory for people to
develop into well-rounded individuals. That is, they must be both knowledgeable
and virtuous. Therefore, most schools around the world have endeavored to help their
students develop their characters and acquire good manners. Also, the students will
be possibly punished strictly if they do not follow the rules well at school;
moreover, once disciplinary action is taken against them, they probably cannot
get good grade. Hence, education trains people to be virtuous and that is the
only way for them to become knowledgeable and well-behaved.
In conclusion, it is clear that without education, people would not enjoy high
living standards nowadays. Due to their wide range of knowledge and good
manners in community, they can earn such large amounts of money for their
living. Accordingly, people must always try their best to acquire knowledge and
uphold ethical principles; not only could they contribute their talents to the
development of the country but they also command respect from everybody.
